3VAKET
Personally, I am particularly moved by this work because it marks a true renewal in my artistic practice. By drawing inspiration from the aesthetics and techniques of Bernard Buffet, I have been able to explore new perspectives and approaches in my painting. This experience has allowed me to push my creative boundaries and express my artistic vision in a bolder way.
In the spirit of Cubism, these clowns are deconstructed into geometric shapes and vibrant colors, offering a fresh perspective on figures often perceived as joyful. The faces of the clowns, traditionally associated with cheerfulness, are here reinterpreted with an abstract approach, where features are simplified and expressions somewhat distorted, evoking a range of emotions from sadness to strangeness.
The use of saturated colors and strong contrasts recalls Buffet's palette while integrating cubist elements that fragment reality. By merging these two styles, neo-cubist artists succeed in creating works that compel the viewer to reflect on the duality of human nature, highlighting the fact that behind the makeup and smiles of clowns often lie stories of solitude and anxiety. This blend of styles and interpretations enriches our understanding of art and human emotions while paying homage to an artist whose work continues to influence contemporary creation.
