VERSAILLES
Versailles, those forgotten times when everything was grandeur and decadence. In this opulent era, where art and architecture blended to create masterpieces, Aket Kubic finds an inexhaustible source of inspiration.
The French garden, with its symmetrical pathways and flowerbeds, evokes a sense of order and beauty that contrasts with the chaos of the modern world. The portraits of ancient times, with their elegant gowns and solemn poses, capture the essence of a bygone society. It is in this spirit that Aket Kubic wishes to pay tribute to this emblematic period.

Through his works, he explores deconstructed Cubism, an approach that challenges traditional artistic conventions. His paintings do not merely represent the beauty of Versailles; they also deconstruct visual elements to offer a modern interpretation of this past grandeur. Shapes fragment, and colors clash, evoking both the magnificence and the fragility of the era.
Some works from the Versailles series
Aket invites us to reflect on the passage of time and how beauty can transform into decadence. His works thus become a mirror of our own societies.

TEXT OF THE WORK
"Knowledge is Power" is a work that illustrates the strength and importance of knowledge in contemporary society. On this canvas, the contrast between traditional weaponry and symbols of knowledge creates a visual tension that engages the viewer.
At the center of the canvas stands a human silhouette, firmly holding an open book in one hand. One can imagine a richly detailed book, its pages illuminated by a soft light, symbolizing wisdom and understanding. In contrast, the figure is adorned in an elaborate military uniform, reminiscent of a general; it appears impressive yet dark and heavy.
This juxtaposition highlights the idea that while knowledge can be a source of enlightenment and empowerment, the trappings of power and authority can often feel burdensome and oppressive. The artwork invites the viewer to reflect on the true nature of strength: is it found in the might of weapons or in the depth of understanding? Ultimately, it suggests that knowledge, rather than brute force, is the most potent weapon in shaping our world and forging our future.
TEXT OF THE WORK
" The crossing of the Alps seems to have been a remarkable feat in centuries past. Some may wonder what connects our modern era to the mule of the cloth merchant who, in the 13th century, traveled the route from Fribourg to Milan.
In reality, there are numerous similarities. At that time, this crossing was both perilous and majestic, marked by unpredictable weather conditions and significant geographical challenges. Today, although logistics have evolved over the years, the crossing of the Alps remains a symbol of determination and ambition. Times change, but the human desire to overcome obstacles remains constant.
In our contemporary world, snowstorms have given way to the relentless pressures of social networks and societal expectations. Every day, many talented artists—whether musicians, writers, or creators—face their own "Alps" in pursuit of their dreams. They navigate modern challenges, such as fierce competition and the quest for visibility, all while striving to express their creativity authentically.
Thus, the metaphor of crossing the Alps easily translates to our current reality. Every step forward is a victory, and every obstacle overcome is a testament to resilience.
