Coca-Cola and Aket Transform Wynwood with Interactive Street Art
The campaign was developed by WPP Open X led by VML and Snapchat to leverage cutting-edge scanning tech
Elevating the artistic scene in Miami's Wynwood neighbourhood, Coca-Cola has partnered with the acclaimed French artist Aket to craft a bespoke interactive mural. The innovative piece serves as a precursor to Art Basel and will feature the Divine Idyll— from Coke's Masterpiece campaign.
Developed by WPP Open X led by VML and teaming up with Snapchat to leverage cutting-edge scanning tech, the mural transcends traditional art. Viewers can unlock a collection of AR lenses, transforming the piece into a 3D immersive view of the artwork coming to life, and turning the surroundings into an interactive canvas while highlighting virtual Coca-Cola interactions.
From December 8 – 10 , consumers will be truly “passed a Coke” through a unique on-site sampling activation where creativity seamlessly merges with cutting-edge technology and experience. This activation will feature our incredible Coke Masterpiece Faux Vending machine, which will literally come to life, just like the mural - and hand guests an ice-cold Coca-Cola.
The experience will be available to all visitors to the Wynwood neighbourhood, known for its creative flair and artistic walls, leading up to Art Basel on December 8-10 and through the remainder of 2023.
In addition to the mural activation, Coca-Cola has launched AR OOH placements in over 900 locations across the US that allow consumers to bring art to life using Snapchat and has placed 3D OOH placements in Los Angeles, New York, Atlanta, and Philadelphia to extend the Masterpiece campaign.
We are thrilled to partner on this amazing initiative. Art Basel is an incredible opportunity to showcase Coca-Cola’s commitment to art and culture and the team have created an activation where creativity seamlessly merges with cutting-edge technology and experience. This brave and boundless initiative will feature our incredible Coke Masterpiece Faux Vending machine, which will literally come to life, just like the mural and hand guests an ice-cold Coca-Cola, said Laura Mignott, chief experiential officer, VML Commerce from WPP
