L’art et la vie.
C’est avec la liberté de l’autodidacte qu’Aket chemine en terre peinture depuis l’âge de 27 ans. Energique, curieux, il explore avec plaisir et éclectisme l’univers des formes et des couleurs, peu soucieux des catégories et des clivages esthétiques. Bien-sûr, à la base, il y a son rêve de gosse, sa passion pour le dessin et la bande dessinée puis au lycée la découverte du Bboys, la pratique du Dotwork proliférant sur ses carnets qu’il nomme « Black Book » et l’émulation collective grâce à l’expérience du graffiti qu’Aket partage avec d’autres sur les murs de Dunkerque et de Lille.

Aket Kubic, born in Grande-Synthe, France, developed a passion for drawing at a young age. Emerging from the graffiti generation, he began painting later in life, but this experience in street art profoundly influenced his artistic journey.
His work is initially inspired by caricatured figures, particularly b-boys, which led him to explore cubist forms. Aket Kubic has a keen interest in geometric shapes, which he now considers a form of isometric painting. His approach involves breaking down distinct personalities into fragments, creating a unique and dynamic representation of his subjects.
By playing with perspectives and geometries, his innovative style and deconstruction technique highlight often-overlooked aspects of the characters he portrays. Each piece becomes an invitation to explore the multiple facets of identity, revealing the complexity and richness of human personalities.
Rooted in both street art and contemporary painting, his aesthetic is undeniably modern. Aket Kubic successfully merges traditional techniques with contemporary influences, creating a dialogue between the past and the present. His works are not just visual representations but also reflections on identity, culture, and individual expression. This approach allows him to stand out in the current artistic landscape, attracting the attention of a diverse audience passionate about art in all its forms.
